2014 Dodge Challenger – Review

Dodge is a well known trade mark which is recognized and renowned under Chrysler Group LLC. 2014 Dodge Challenger is a car engineered with a massive Hemi Motor 6.4-liter HEMI V8 with 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, a performance-tuned suspension with exceptional looks; the Challenger SRT8 392 is the range-topping model in a variety of Dodge’s Challenger muscle cars. It gives an exhilarating average of 60 miles per hour in five seconds. It is a full size sedan with a vintage style body, its exceptional behind the wheel.

Speaking of transmissions, it is a six-speed TR-6060 Tremec unit with a dial-disc high performance clutch – similar one tested to the limits in the 2008 Dodge Viper SRT10. For those who prefer their performance cars with only two pedals, the automatic comes in five-speed flavor that includes both “Normal” and “Sport” modes. Sport mode will keep the transmission in the gear a bit longer, maximizing power efficiently and effectively.

This vintage looking sedan features leather upholstery, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a 276-watt Boston Acoustics sound system, a Uconnect CD/HDD/DVD entertainment system with a 6.5-inch touch screen display, automatic climate control, Bluetooth smart phone connectivity, a navigation system, an 18-speaker Harmon/Kardon sound system and a sunroof. Since it has a very high range of pricing and positioning as people think; those who are categorized in middle or working class segment, they aren’t able to afford it. They would not be able to purchase it as said but an array of models even cater to the budget minded people by delivering all of this standard car’s performance but deleting some content (or substituting less expensive bits) to achieve a lower price.

As the range-topping model in the Challenger lineup, the SRT8 392 competes against powerful rivals like the 650-horsepower Ford Shelby GT500 and the 580-horsepower Chevrolet Camaro ZL1. All Charger SRT8 models come standard with dual front, front side and side-curtain airbags adding up to a driver’s knee airbag and traction as well as stability control systems. The SRT8 Core features a unique blacked-out appearance, including a black grille, rear spoiler and”392″ logos on the front fenders.

Twenty-inch cast-aluminum wheels with black painted pockets and black Brembo brake calipers are also part of the package.
Firstly, the heavy 2014 Dodge Challenger is best in a straight line unless you spring for the pricey but fantastic SRT-8 model. Second, the 5-speed automatic fortunately has a terrific 6-speed stick available with V8 models. Lastly, the Challenger also has an exhilarating unimaginative interior and limited vision through the side and rear windows. The Challenger is integrated with 4-wheel anti-lock disc brakes and six airbags. In National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) crash testing, the Challenger earned a rating of five stars. That score came from 5-star performances on the front- and side-impact tests, along with a 4-star rating in NHTSA rollover tests.
